I honestly cant say they will win. Pitt has been exposed in to many games this year. Uconn made them look terrible and until they remove Sunseri from the job who knows what they will do week to week. Never in all my time being a PITT fan have I been so disapointed in my team. It will be a fun game to watch due to the Uni's but they are almost unbearable to watch. The defense looks bad. If Daniels was able to scramble Pitt would have had 2 losses in Big East.

Reason we need a playoff because no team from the Big East should play in a BCS game not when you have deserving schools being left out for a 2-3 loss school. Hopefully this will open some eyes.

I wouldnt complain but we would get embarrased thats for sure. I think of all BE teams UConn is the most deserving. They are playing the best in conference. They would represent the conf the best and probably be the only team that would show up. I liked Syracuse till they lost this week. Marone is doing a great job and Syracuse will surprise alot of teams next season.

We need to win out and for Dave's boys to drop one, which could happen at USF. What's frustrating about WVU is the defense is maybe the best in the country, and up there as the best all time WVU defense. The defensive staff is great. Unfortunately, the offense is lacking, despite talent. The only coach on offense I can say is doing a solid job is Galloway, the receivers coach. Beatty is okay, but the HBs have not been lighting the world on fire. However, the slots look pretty good. Mullen and Johnson are terrible. The line has rarely been less consistent and more soft, and Mullen has no idea how to call an offense off script. Just frustrating that all we needed to do was score 21 in each game this year and we'd be undefeated. I'm hoping Stew goes out on top and then steps into the AD...I just can't watch the erosion of what was becoming a consistent top 15 team. Now we're not even in the top 25.

Well Pitt was a top 5 rush defense in the nation then Todman scorched them for yd after yd. It will be a fun game the reality is that no matter how good or bad these teams are they come to play and beat the snot out of each other. Its a true rivalry with hate and disgust for the other side. We just need to win but thats a worry also because we cant win games when we need too for the BE title. Oh well. It will be a fun one to watch

They should they are the best team in the Big East. Which isnt saying alot but they are what they are. Pitt would be so much better with Bostick. Damn you stache.

thats not true

you can't say 'they are an x place team' you have to say how many teams are clearly better or clearly worse. what place you actually land in is more to do with luck and a few breaks here or there with the teams that you are equal to.

the big east is basically pitt, wvu, uconn all the same then cincy, usf, syracuse then louisville and rutgers (3 seperate tiers)

the pac 10 is Oregon and Stanford then Arizona, USC then oregon st, cal, ucla, washington, arizona st then washington st (3 tiers)

the top tier of the big east is on par with 2nd tier of the pac10.

the problem with the perception of the big east is that we havent had a consistent top tier team. every year we usually get 1 top tier team and then the next 4 or 5 make up the 2nd tier then the bottom tier has that 1 bad team. we are always very solid in the middle tier... this season is the exception cause we dont have an elite team and and our middle tier is weaker then it has been in the past

so imo, based on that, i would say either UConn/WVU/Pitt would be anywhere from a 3rd to 5th place team in the pac 10. still not deserving of a BCS probably this year but not a 6th team in the pac 10

It doesn't hurt the image that none of the Big East teams can throw the ball very well. In today's game, passing success gives people erections. Also, Pittsburgh and Cincinnati getting their asses absolutely kicked in three or four BCS bowls doesn't help. West Virginia took care of business when they went.
