RB 2 Cymbals found at Gamestop

I found the 2 pack at Gamestop for 29.99 and was very close to picking them up but thought better of it to just wait and get the 3 pack. Has anyone heard any more info on these? Like are they even worth it, do they do anything different than hitting the colored drum pad, etc.

I said eff it and on the way home stopped back at Gamestop, telling myself if they were still there, I would buy them. They were and I did. If I get a chance to play tonight, I'll let you know how they are. Supposedly they are not officially available until Thursday or so the guy told me.

Okay, I only played 3 or 4 songs with them, but here is the lowdown. They are very well made, very sturdy. Easy to assemble, took 10 minutes tops There is no difference in the gameplay, i.e. if you hit the yellow cymbal it registers and sounds the same as hitting the yellow drumpad. The one exception to this is in the drum fills, the cymbal sounds are apparent. You can move them around to put them wherever you want them. I had mine as the yellow and green and were directly above the same colored drum pads. It is kind of cool as you can interchange hitting the cymbal or drumpad throughout the song, but again, it doesn't do anything differently in the game play.

Overall, they are cool but certainly not necessary. I have spent $30 on much worse things. Once the 3 packs come out at the end of November, I believe they are going to be $40 for all 3 and the single packs will be $20. I'll probably get the 3rd just to make the set complete. It sounds as if they are going to be kind of hard to find, so if anyone happens to be in the same boat and finds two 2 packs, please pick them both up and I'll split the cost with you on the second set so we can both have 3 total.

Also, not sure if anyone knows this, but when using the RB2 drumset with GHWT, you would probably need at least one cymbal as the GHWT drums have 3 drums and 2 cymbals whereas the RB2 drums would just have the 4 drums.
