Birthday Parties

Post by ChampDizzle »

My oldest daughter just turned 11. Her mom had a little party with just family members, me excluded :D This past Saturday, I told her invite some friends for a day of fun! There were 7 girls that showed up at 10am to rollerskate. Afterwhich, they got in two cars(another parent helped) and we went to Adventure Crossing, a amusement type place. I purchased 7 passes for one hour of all they can ride and go-kart and a 30 minute session of Lasertag. Than I took them all out to eat at Golden Corral, a buffett all you can eat. I felt it was worth the money to do more than just the normal one party. I spent well over $200 but the smile on my daughter's face was priceless. I did the one place party but wanted to do something different. They all enjoyed going from place to place.

What kind of parties have any of you done for your kids?

I usually have parties at my place for my kids. My ex excludes herself. My family is usually there and she knows she would get a very cool reception if she showed up. Anyway, we invite all the neighborhood kids. My neighbors have friends that own one of those inflatable bounce houses so we use that and I set up a big canopy-type tent so we can stay cool in the shade. My son's birthday is in June so it's a necessity. My daughter's is in September so it can be hot too. Anyway, I manage to put on a pretty good party for them and it's very cost-efficient.

well, my oldest daughter turns 13 today. Got her breakfast thia smorning before school. Gave her a birthday bear to carry around school and a birthday pin. Gave her 4 one dollar bills to get her started. Taking her and her little sister to a Japanese Steakhouse tonight. Tomorrow having a 'get together' with some of her friends. Taking her shopping for some lugz boots she wants next week. Will just give her $100 bill to use as well. They grow up so fast!

Both my girls, 4 (almost 5) and 8 love the Japanese Steakhouse. I swear the chef could just make 20 onion volcanoes one after the other and that would keep them giddy all night.
