Publish Coach Reports?

Post by trendon »

With a ticker of the last five comments. Put it on the Coach History page. Was this ever discussed?

If coaches reports were used properly and if people weren't so thin skinned about this game it would be a good idea. But publishing them would lead to one of two things (or a combination) happening:

1. Gigantic bitch fests and people crying like little bitches.

or

2. People just giving compulsory "All 5's" for fear of hurting someone's feelings

About 20% of the league would probably take the reports as constructive criticism as they should be doing already.

Trendon, you know at the end of every season some one "Blindsided" by their coaches reports and posts about it followed by everyone else"blindsided" by their reports. No need for something that all ready happens.

Well, I was actually thinking more of a real-time score. Like, as people enter the coach reports, the five categories change immediately. Oh well, just a thought I had a few days ago and forgot to post.

Come on! It would be the perfect opportunity for an NDL Deadspin or TMZ page to be created!

I think it should be published what the average rating of the coach reports we give. Would make people think twice about not being a sore loser.

The one thing I liked in the INCAA days was that people did scouting reports on each other.

They basically told you how the other person was going to play, what their tendencies were, what player they controlled on the field, how much they ran/pass, etc. I thought that was awesome but this league never did that.

Yea. NNBL did that as well, and I loved it.

Hell yeah. that was such a nice feature of leagues. Wouldnt play a new opponent without checking that out.

I always wondered why we didn't do scouting reports here.. I assume to keep the bitchfesting to a minimum.

Someone should start a separate site for this.

Fixed

Perfect NDL world, we are all mature, thick skinned, and can take critiques. We cant do that with private coaches reports much less public one.

I totally agree with having scouting reports, even if some1 is a sore loser and writes some BS you'll still have those other reports to go on, and base how your going to play ur opponent on the similarities in the other scouting reports... in pre-NDL days this was a required task in most leagues. It helps prepare u pre-game rather than having to make those adjustments later in game... I think i've given up an opening drive TD to all but 1 of my opponents due to this fact.

We do have scouting reports, just aim/pm a coach that has played that coach before. I remember getting hit up in the past but not much anymore.
