Best Buy: Arkham City and Mass Effect 2 deal
Best Buy: Arkham City and Mass Effect 2 deal
Interesting deal at Best Buy this week.
You can read the details on slickdeals here, but the gist of it is you buy their "Gamer" magazine for $5 and inside there is a coupon for $20 off Arkham City and $15 off Mass Effect 2. The prices this week for those games are $30 and $20, respectively.
So for $20 plus tax you walk out with:
Batman: Arkham City
Mass Effect 2
Gamer magazine
Seems like a pretty nice deal. Going to check it out this evening after work.

Hell, I'd do that just to turn around and sell both for a profit.
Great find.

Yeah, exactly. I would probably keep Batman though.

Re: Best Buy: Arkham City and Mass Effect 2 deal
You have to be a gamer reward zone member, and that costs 15 bux a year.
Re: Best Buy: Arkham City and Mass Effect 2 deal
you don't have to be a gamer reward, you can buy the mag for $5 and get the coupon regardless. But you can spend $15, get a year's worth of mags, plus 10% extra for trade-ins and 10% off pre-owned games. Similiar to Game-Stops program.

Re: Best Buy: Arkham City and Mass Effect 2 deal
Yeah they did.
You do, technically, have to be a gamer reward zone member, but that is free online. To get the coupons you either buy the one magazine for $5 or subscribe for $15.
I think I'll go with the $5 option because I don't ever see myself using Best Buy as a trade-in location (I prefer Gamestop for when I actually do that).
You can sign up online to be a gamer reward zone member at home and then just by the mag and get the coupons in the store.

Re: Best Buy: Arkham City and Mass Effect 2 deal
yea, I don't know the technical term. I was already a reward zone member, now I got the gamer club or whatever it is called. I asked if I had to carry around another card and they said no. But it seems every mag has over $100 in coupons, so I went that route. They also gave me all the back issues on the rack. So I got like 5 mags, but I am sure those coupons are way past expired.

U do have to be a gamer member to use the coupon, also Bb gamer ub rewards u $10 for every 120 spent on games or gaming accessories. Way better then what Gamestop offersBernie32 wrote:you don't have to be a gamer reward, you can buy the mag for $5 and get the coupon regardless.
