Stadium Expansions
Stadium Expansions
Use this thread to request stadium expansions.
Below is an explanation of how to expand your stadium
Step 1: Apply during the first 3 sims of the offseason (after the playoffs end and after you get your budget).
Step 2: Determine how many seats you want to add. Cost will be $4.1M per 1000 seats.
Step 3: Chose your application and fee method. You will need to get voters approval to expand your stadium by your local government and have 3 options.
>>> Option 1: Pay a $1,000,000 application fee and have 40% chance the expansion is approved.
>>> Option 2: Pay a $2,000,000 in an application fee and local marketing and have 80% chance the expansion is approved.
>>> Option 3: Pay a $3,000,000 "application fee" to bribe enough people to guarantee your expansion is approved.
You will need to have the matter pass within the first 3 weeks to move forward or you will have to wait until the following offseason.
Step 4: The amount will be shown as a reduction from cash for the season you expanded. Expand at your own risk. Dont bitch if you dont fill the seats or if it has other unforseen circumstances on your budget.
Step 5: You will begin the regular season with the expanded stadium.

Re: Stadium Expansions
is money paid to this put into league wide revenue sharing seperate from regular revenue sharing?

Re: Stadium Expansions
speaking of revenue sharing. I'm, all for it. If we are going to have it, i also feel like there should be a "floor" as well

Re: Stadium Expansions
No, it goes to pay the digital workers and unions who expand the stadium.ajalves wrote:is money paid to this put into league wide revenue sharing seperate from regular revenue sharing?

Re: Stadium Expansions
just a reminder in case anyone is looking to expand. The deadline is the sim after arbitration.
So far Brett is the only one.
I will also be doing an expansion, but will wait until I know what the salaries will be for 2017.

Re: Stadium Expansions
While those who exceed the average payroll pay according to how much they exceed it by, all of the recipients of revenue sharing money get the same amount. Thus, there is no benefit to purposely keeping your payroll low.ajalves wrote:speaking of revenue sharing. I'm, all for it. Re: Stadium Expansions
getting any money at all is the benefit. keeping a 50 mill payroll drags down the average.trendon wrote:While those who exceed the average payroll pay according to how much they exceed it by, all of the recipients of revenue sharing money get the same amount. Re: Stadium Expansions
keep your payroll wherever you want....i dont REALLY care.
just seems like there should be a floor if we're going to have revenue sharing. even if there isnt one in real life

The current average payroll is $102,566,874. If the new Chicago team (the team with the lowest payroll) were to have their payroll drop by THIRTY MILLION from $53.6 to $23.6m, the average payroll would plummet to .... $101,316,874. Hardly enough to warrant any rule change. You would need a league-wide anti-Port Orange conspiracy to properly affect the average payroll amount. And, with the way we are, if someone is not signing free agents in a purposeful attempt to keep their salary low, one of us vultures will.

Ramdom change generator. You pick x amount of numbers out of 10. If one of the numbers you picked is the one that pops up, you win.Seeitsaveit13 wrote:What are you using to decide the "chances" that these get approved?brwnbear wrote:Last day to add seats for expansion until after the 2017 season. Re: Stadium Expansions
I didnt chose anything for you. Its not my job. You chose it when i tried to confirm option 2 through AIM. You can still gamble on saving the $1M.brett11253 wrote:you ended up choosing option 3 for me?brwnbear wrote:Ramdom change generator. You pick x amount of numbers out of 10.
