Had e same issue. Even if it reads the disk, it will just get worse. I had to take my ps3 in and have the disk drive replaced. It was 110 total.VeniVediV1ci wrote:same issue, trying it out now and will edit the post with an update
EDIT: Game froze on Thursday night vs. WVU with a few minutes left, not a big deal. Playing Baylor today it froze 2nd quarter with 3:15 left.
Tried to restart and I run into issues where my ps3 seems like it can't read the disk. Deleted tuning & all rosters.
100% of the time I see the start-up menu, so I know the HDMI connection between my PS3 and TV works.
Like I said earlier, sometimes the game doesn't show up. To remedy this i eject my game and turn my PS3 on without it, then insert the game and it will pick it up. Twice of about 10 tries I got into the game and saw EA-related stuff including once i reached the PRESS START screen where the game froze. The other was at the beginning of the EA stuff. Those other 8 tries I start going into the game but get a blank black screen with nothing on it as if my TV is not configured correctly, but it clearly is after showing the default opening screen with the friends list and stuff. Online and all that works as I can see what my buddies are doing, but this sucks.
So what do I do here? I have one suggestion that the laser in my PS3 isn't strong enough to read the game. I plan on trying this later tonight or tomorrow to see what happens, but this isn't good

I'm sure we could all pool our resources together and get a $38 gift card to Boston Market to throw in as a cherry on top
took it in to a best buy or something like that? or had to send it in to sony?texasfan4444 wrote:Had e same issue. Even if it reads the disk, it will just get worse. I had to take my ps3 in and have the disk drive replaced. It was 110 total.

If you're sending your system to Sony, your season is pretty much over. There are only three weeks left in S25 and you'd be lucky to know when your system will be shipped back to you by that point. They take forever, that's if your system is even still under warranty. Finding a repair man nearby is the best bet if youre not willing to buy a new one.VeniVediV1ci wrote:took it in to a best buy or something like that? or had to send it in to sony?texasfan4444 wrote:Had e same issue. I think i need to do this now because it probably won't even work for DVDs/Blue Rays right now thus making it an expensive coaster in my apartment
You should....slims are real nice and havent had any issues with either of the 2 i own. I have one of the initial 120gb slims and a 2nd gen 160gb slim. They are nice.VeniVediV1ci wrote:i'm just trying to figure out the best (and quickest) option.
I hardly play the thing so I don't think I need the fatboy and its backwards capability or w/e, so maybe I just bite the bullet and get a new one
