In one of the tighest races I've seen in 25 season Okie state edged out msu and florida]
From a "sim league" standpoint (sorry to daw and weezy) but it was about as real life as it gets with the different scenarios and how the voting plays out with the computers and etc when they used em.
Until we get a playoff, I think our own little NDL system worked perfectly (lol, again, sorry to daw and weasel who both truly deserved a shot as well)
I'm headed to bed but I'm sure there'll be some discussion on it so I wanted to try to answer some questions and can then reply to any others tomorrow
Massey has them #2, #3 and #4 giving Oklahoma State the valuable edge and the 50% of .05 points (or .025 points) difference between the 3 spots respectively.
SOS for Oklahoma State is 9th. Florida and MSU are 32nd and 33rd.
While Florida and MSU played a GREAT schedule as well, it wasnt enough with all things being considered pretty equal to overcome that gap. (You can see the differences in the Massey/SOS portion of the listed BCS)
Now, you might say, Florida was #2 in both polls, how was that not enough?
The answer is that keep in mind, you dont get votes for being #2, 3, 4 or any "place" in the final standings. You get points based on the number of votes (multiplied by the maximum number of available points - which is number of voters X 25 in our case), then divide that by the total number of points received from those votes (25 for 1st, 24 for 2nd, 23 for 3rd and so on)
Though Florida was #2, the votes split between them, Michigan State and Oklahoma State leveled the playing field jussssssst enough for Massey/SOS to have the impact it did.
media poll is like 12 total people, and it goes 1st = 25 points. Niddler (cc therefore media vote) had Arky #15, thats the only vote they got and why theyre there.

Yep and its easy to figure out too. Arky St is who he meant to put there, its pretty obvious right?
The best part about seeing everyones final poll is finding out who doesnt like who. Case in point you see pretty much the entire league voting someone in a certain range, then the other coaches not even putting a vote for that team or voting them super low. I always love that!
No its not me, but if you look at other teams you will see them ranked in like the top 10, then you see some coach not even rank them. Its just funny thats all!
