When I stay in Seattle I usually stay at the Grand Hyatt downtown. Nice place close to bars and restaurants. There is a little sushi place accross the street called Dragon Fish Cafe that has been good enough that I always go to it(4 times). http://dragonfishcafe.com The Paramount Hotel though Ive never stayed there, looks like a cool joint. Dragonfish is in the lobby of that place so Ive walked into it.

For Portland you may want to text Stan direct. If you dont have his number, let me know and Ill forward that to you. Hes the expert and was my tour guide when I went up there last time.

Enjoy your time up there. Really cool spots to spend a long weekend. I really enjoyed Portland tons of breweries, live music and local dive spots. Really similar but smaller than Austin's 6th Street.

Portland is oldchoola's part of town. I have little insight but do know the strip clubs are some of the best. There are some you can take the ladies to and do whatever the hell you want to there, just know you will have an audience.

In Seattle during the day you need to go to Pikes Place Market, that is where they throw the fish around. Pioneer Square is a great place to go local bands and drinks. You can go into a group of about 6 bars for one cover and move from one bar to the other. There are a ton of bars in that area all walking distance with dive restaurants as well.

not sure exactly where you live in Washington but you live in a beautiful state man.

we flew into Portland, spent a couple nights there and had a great time. We then drove from Portland to The Gorge Amphitheatre and the drive was absolutely ridiculous. Driving along side the river up and down mountains was nuts, especially considering Miami's highest elevation is the Lifeguard chair. Then today we drove from Ellensburg (?, I think that's where we were) to Seattle and the drive was even more amazing than the one from Portland to the music festival. The snow covered peaks and the huge drop offs, the water.... just spectacular stuff that i'm sure you guys take for granted living here, but I was amazed. We just got to Seattle now and i'm pretty beat up from yesterday, but I just wanted to tell you that you shouldn't be such an Eeyore, cause you live in a pretty cool fuckin place.

Heading to Portland for a couple of days. Did you get to hang in Portland much Dave or just flew into Portland and rolled from here?

I'm hoping I can meet up with Stan on Thursday night. Maybe this time we won't get into a fight at the boobie club. Lol.

I spent a few nights in Portland, I loved it there.

what are you looking to do? sight seeing stuff? nature stuff? restaurants?

fun fact that should get you by... Portland has more breweries than any city in the world. (yes, its true, I couldn't believe it wasn't in Germany or some shit)

for restaurants... definitely go to Tasty and Sons. I went for brunch, it was incredible. i'm sure the lunch/dinner would also be great. we sat at bar to eat cause it was packed on a Saturday morning and the bartender was awesome, he made some great drinks.

there are a lot of good restaurants in Portland. this was my favorite tho.

for 'sights' -- touristy stuff like Voodoo Donuts. they are okay. i'm not a donut guy, line is pretty long (probably 20-30 min). they are all wacked out creations

i'm big into zen and Japanese culture, so I really enjoyed the Japanese gardens. not sure if you're into that type of stuff, but If you were an hour by yourself there would be pretty relaxing and enjoyable

about 20 minutes up the highway is (I believe) the 2nd largest waterfall in US or north America, I forget... called Multonomah Falls. we hiked it one morning and it was a workout but really cool sites.

I didn't get to see a Portland Timbers MLS game cause they were out of town, but that was something I wanted to do.

my favorite brewery was called Lucky Labrador. it was basically a big garage with an outdoor area. it was sunny so we just hung out there and had a sampling. i'm sure you can do more research on breweries and find better ones. that was just one we happened to like

Fuck the Timbers, you want to see a an amazing sight go to a Sounders game. THAT is amazing, 40-60K people in CenturyLink, holy cow...

Anyway, if you go to VooDoo Donuts don't go to the downtown one, go to the one that is near Portland State, (I think that's the college it is next to) way better service and not as many people.

And if you want a nice steak and eggs and watch naked women on poles, go to the Acropolis. Best Steak and Titties in Portland...

Thanks Dave and Coug. Looks like you got alot in when you came up Dave. Impressive.

Unfortunately I wont be doing too much siteseeing. Im at the Port of Vancouver for work today then drive back down to Portland and fly out in the morning.

I do plan on coming back and spending a weekend with the Mrs. Ill try to get Acropolis in at that time. Ive been to the link for a USA vs Panama CUP qualifier and it was insane in that place. When they stat doing the Thunder clap you see almost 100% participation.

My trip tp Portland is still one of my favorite trips to this day. Amazing weather. Great sites. Goods food. I wanna go back. Stan ripped me off on OU Oregon Tickets. lol

The strip clubs were really bad though. If you all think those are good you need to come down south. You have no idea. We went to like 5 in one night, and the best one was out side of town. The gentlemen's club or something. It was terrible. Doesn't hold a candle to the talent I have seen in Dallas. Love Portland but you all really have no clue what a could strip joint is. LOL

All it takes is some good shrooms to lead sheep into the fire. That's hilarious.
