Austin on Wednesday and Thursday

OK, staying at the Marriott on fourth and I have two days to do absolutely nothing. I need a home bar to sit at for 20+ hours. Anyone know a good bar to get some all-day drinking in or a bartender buddy that wants to make a fortune? Let me know. Also, any gyms that allow daily memberships? I'd like one of those, too. My plan for Wednesday and Thursday is this:

- Wake up.
- Work out.
- Eat lunch.
- Drink.
- Eat dinner.
- Drink.
- Drink.
- Get laid.

Times two.

Edit: I am sorta by myself since my two buddies are pussies and are basically teetotallers.

I don't get a choice. The "vacation" portion of the events is Wednesday day to Friday day. By Friday night, I am hopping into a moving van to help a friend. Believe me, I'd rather be in Montreal. Great food, great bars, great girls.

The last time I got set loose on a city I didn't "want/intend" on being in was two years ago in Charleston. Same situation, showed up two days before the event (a wedding in this case) with one drinking buddy (this time I will basically have zero since my two friends are fucking queers who can't drink) ... it was a fucking shitshow.

I still have friends from those two days. We started at this super trendy place called the Gin Mill on Thursday at like 5PM, we walked in with the bartender. The guy convinced me to have his margarita and I relented ... best goddamn margarita ever. I had four in an hour and it was off to the races. I hated that place, though. I tried talking to some chick and she made fun of my finger tattoo in a snooty way so I responded by reminding her how much more money I make than her and how much better-looking I was than her boyfriend. That went pretty well. Anyway, we soon ended up on King Street and the fun really began. I can drink. My friend Tommy can drink me under and back from the table. We bounced around from spot to spot, doubling back a few times, and when I say we probably each had a dozen more beers and a dozen more shots, I ain't joking. My bar bill at one spot was over $200 and the fucking girl was giving the bar away to us. He beat me on ass two to one, plus mine was much heavier than I thought she was but c'est la vie.

Long story, short: by Friday night, we had the whole place wired. We got a round of applause at one bar on King Street when we returned. Then we got shitfaced at the wedding on Saturday. What a weekend!

To repeat that in Austin, I am going to have to put in some work because, like I said, I am going to be largely alone. Let's see how fucking charming I am!

AJ, Corey, and especially Stan can tell you how much I drink. It's an odd thing to be super proud of but I can take a licking and keep going. And, if I get something to eat, I can come right back out after the meal and trick you into thinking I haven't been drinking. Age has been kind to me.

Now, as for Stan. Holy shit. I can't even begin to count how many Red Bull and vodkas we drank in Vegas that one night. I wish he were here. Fifteen each plus shots in four or five hours? I woulda had more if I didn't fall in love with some chick from - coincidentally, South Carolina - and follow her around like a puppy dog.

I am proud of my capacity to still function after the large amounts of drinking I can do but I proudly tip my hat to Trendon and Stan as I have never seen guys put it back like that and still know my first name.

I wish we could measure the amount of alcohol consumed during that NDL convention in that penthouse suite at Planet Hollywood.
