Saw the thread creator and assumed it was a Virginia horn blowing thread.

3. Indiana
The Hoosiers have most of the team back from last year's CWS team. They should be very, very good if the baseball fields up here are thawed out before the season starts.

Jamis Winston will have about 1,000 strikeouts, 50 saves, and bat at least .950ish. Odds are they will be forced to give a second Heisman with a baseball welded to the top of it.

Texas = last in the Big 12 last season, but that warrants a preseason top 25 ranking of course.

Baseball America's poll is based on prospects.

Canes pitcher threw a perfect game last night. Sure it was against the baseball powerhouse known as Villanova but still an impressive feat.

They actually let someone go the full 9 innings on a Tuesday? Moreover... they had a Tuesday pitcher capable of a perfect game?

What's the rule on the play?

The batter kind of verred inside the foul line, not sure if it was to intentionally take out a UF player lol. But I'm moreso curious as to how that one should have been scored by rule.

I'd assume that batter has the right as long as he's on the line, but i'm not sure once he steps inside.

Oh, and that dude from FSU looks like he's a dude you do not want to mess with.

The batter is automatically out if he is hit with the ball inside the base line I believe and if he comes into contact with a player trying to make a play.

At least in the MLB.

There is no way contact could be avoided between runner and fielder. He did nothing malicious. I get sticking up for your teammates but that isn't a spot to do it. Would be no different if there was a bang bang play at plate, catcher get plowed, and first base comes down to fight the runner. Just dumb.

I dont think they should have started a fight either but he was clearly inside the baseline (as coaches teach you to do on those type of plays for tougher throws and to make the fielder in a tougher position and hope the umps dont call it) and should have been out. Not sure if he was called out on the play though.

If he is running on the baseline and towards the outside and not the inside, he easily could have avoided running into the guy.

I assume its a hit ( no pun intended). The runner has the right to the baseline. if a fielder comes in to the baseline and gets hit, then you have a couple of possible calls. Fielder interference, runner interference or play it out.

He was running in the baseline the whole time until the very end and he weaves inside. Now did he do that to cause or avoid contact? No clue

He should have never been called out for running out of baseline.

The dude is running on the grass on some of his last steps before the collision. He easily could have been called out especially it being such a subjective call.

I am not saying he intentionally ran into the dude but if he is on the baseline or in the dirt cut out he doesnt come close to hitting that guy.
