Realignment Draft (DONE)
Draft info
Sorry but the more I think about the draft type, the more I prefer the boards.
I feel this is a major change for our league and do not want multiple guys left out of the process and not allowed to control their pick during a live format. I will proactively reach out to guys that may not be around as much and ensure they make their pick with the best of my ability.
As much fun as a ping pong ball party is, we are going live draft on the boards and with the win percentage posted here with a top 12/bottom 18 format. It won't be a rush as we have at least until Sunday for me to get it into the game and prior to the schedule process in the offseason.
Rules of the draft:
Top 12 pick first based on the listed draft order
They select their League-Division.
Those 12 teams have to fill 2 spots in each of the 6 divisions.
Bottom 18 pick next, filling out the remaining spots.
Without further ado, here is the draft order for each, top 12 goes first:

Re: Realignment Live Draft
Unfortunately it will seem like I'm just asking because my team falls in the bottom 12, but just curious about the thought process as far as whether the bottom 12 or top 18 select first. Was it just a coin flip or is there reasoning behind one or the other?
Re: Realignment Live Draft
I thought the next step was selecting the realignment type such as
geographical
red, white, blue using this pot system
other
It appears as if the pot system is just being chosen not the league as a whole. Did I miss another voting thread somewhere?
Everyone needs to be made aware of what is happening regardless of board activity. We need to reach out to all owners and make they all know what is going down. Just my opinion....

Re: Realignment Live Draft
I have not heard any other options brought to the table by anyone else that has been active on the boards regarding format. I listed those myself and no other ideas were brought up.
How do I make everyone aware of what is happening other than board activity?
By all means, this is just a vote to decide time. We have 4/5 days before we actually do it to discuss format and please create a poll if you have other ideas as well.

Re: Realignment Live Draft
Pots, top and bottom tiers. I don't know what's going on, someone just text me when it's my pick and let me know what division all the guys that actually are active daily are in.
Thanks!!!
Thanks!!!
Re: Realignment Live Draft
I was just going off of DrWebs poll he had created at the beginning with multiple options. As for contacting others I know it's a pain for sure. Are you able to send out an email as the commissioner using the utility just like the emails go out for sim results? Re: Realignment Live Draft
I quoted a post direct from the other thread on the format.Bernie32 wrote:I thought it was top 12 pick first and then remaining 18 pick..
I do not know the details of why 12 first versus 18 first. Again this can all be changed if need be.
Re: Realignment Live Draft
Q, can't we just do this on the forums? Lol.

Re: Realignment Live Draft
Seems like it would cause forum immersion during this low point.
Esp when I chirp everyone who avoids me. Looking at you Texas

Re: Realignment Live Draft
My original post in the other thread was just spitting out some ideas that we could have possibly went with and not a poll. Now we can make a poll if someone wants, but there is seemingly overwhelming support for this Reign/Nick system and I'm all good with that. I think we just need to finalize whether it's top 12 or 18 first, or bottom 12 or 18 first.BigRy wrote:I was just going off of DWWebs poll he had created at the beginning with multiple options. Re: Realignment Live Draft
the whole point of the 12-18 is to separate the groups (top tier - bottom tier) . theres no way 18 teams are in the top tier; we struggled to get 12.
Re: Realignment Live Draft
I would agree top tier should be 12. From 13-18 you have two new owners and three with sub .500 career win percentagesnick wrote:the whole point of the 12-18 is to separate the groups (top tier - bottom tier) . theres no way 18 teams are in the top tier; we struggled to get 12.

Re: Realignment Live Draft
Doing it on the boards makes my life MUCH easier so I am in favor of it as well. We can start as early as tonight or tomorrow and maybe it even gives guys like George, Wasted, and others the opportunity to choose themselves versus the live version which I prefer for them to be a part of.ajalves wrote:yeah I am more for doing it on the boards as well
just my thoughts
It also makes it easier to address contacting guys when their pick is up.
There are times when polls are needed not sure this is one.

Re: Realignment Live Draft
imo we should ask reign to do the 12/18. Shouldnt be done on WP as a whole.

What metric would we utilize if not average WP over a length of time?
