Possible winter meetings topic

This isn't an official topic or an official vote. This is solely to gauge interest on possibly changing up the playoff format.

I personally do not like that two teams get a first round bye in each league. I was against this format and voted against it when I first joined the league and this format was voted in. If you'd like to hear some potential options and put it up for a vote, that is what this poll is for.

I have two initial options:
1. Run it the way that the MLB currently does. This would drop our playoff teams from 6 to 5.

2. Change it to be similar to the way the NFL is doing it this year. That would put an extra team into the playoffs from each league. Wild card round could be super quick, with a best of 3 series, then the next round could be 5 games, then 7.

I know the second idea may not be very popular, but it's just an idea. I thought that since we're going through a realignment, this may be a good time to talk about this topic. Let's hear your opinions

#2 is better than #1 but I prefer the current way better than both.

Though I could potentially be talked into #2, but definitely not #1.

I like they way we do it now, I do wish we would change that best two teams regardless of division winner gets the bye tho

Yeah, I despise the way MLB does it. To play 162 games and then have a 1 game playoff is just lame. I actually think our format is exactly how the MLB should do it.
