Record for facemasks?
I had 15 in a game tonight, had it set to aggressive for about 20-25 plays, forced no turnovers. Then I played VT, and I used it for 6 plays, and get a facemask call 5 of them, with no fumbles again. I know I am a top tier player, but really?

Re: Record for facemasks?
EA would NEVER overdo any new feature!!!!
Re: Record for facemasks?
Heres an idea...instead of complaining about it, stop playing aggressive.....if they over did the feature why continue to use it? Its not gonna change and complaining about it is not gonna fix anything.
I have played 4 games and play middle of the road strategy and have had maybe one face mask in all the games.....just saying.

Re: Record for facemasks?
I have to agree. I have played 6 games online and have had maybe 5 face mask calls. I play on normal level. when I try to strip the ball, that is when I have gotten hit with it.but I don't see it being a problem. if you play with fire a lot, eventually you will get burned.packsyD22 wrote:Heres an idea...instead of complaining about it, stop playing aggressive.....if they over did the feature why continue to use it? Re: Record for facemasks?
I played 3 games, all using balanced. I had 1 facemask the entire night. Stoopid fing Nole fumbled 3 or 4 times and recovered every one of his own fumbles.

I agree with dont complain about the facemask..its not even like you can only turn it to normal...I actuallyturn mine to conservative most of the game...voila..no facemasks.
Reason I fumbled 3 times vs hoos was on offense i turned my "big play or big run" or whateva the fuck you call it to agressive. It means your hb and wrs sell out more to break big plays...but the consequence is they dont protect the ball as well.

Re: Record for facemasks?
Thats for some the helpful responses
, I well aware that not calling it would fix the issue, just ticked about how unbalanced it is. I mean when I'm looking at 60-80%+ of the time getting a penalty called that is nuts.

So the way I see this you had a problem with facemasks in 2010fsupenguin wrote:Thats for some the helpful responses, I well aware that not calling it would fix the issue, just ticked about how unbalanced it is. I mean when I'm looking at 60-80%+ of the time getting a penalty called that is nuts.
You presented your problem.
We then all recognized the problem.
We gave you a way to fix the problem.
Yet you still bitch about the problem...
Are you a woman?
Re: Record for facemasks?
I agree that it is highly exaggerated and in some ways silly. I guess you have to look at it as if it wasn't exaggerated to create the risk then there would be no reason to not use aggressive all the time. Same with the fumbles. It is one of those balancing factors that EA loves to use that doesn't involve realism.
Re: Record for facemasks?
i personnally like the new aggressive features.. no sacrafice no glory, takes big risk for big rewards..
If your player is gonna be aggressive about going for the trip while also running full speed at times to make a tackle there is a chance a good chance he is gonna grab a facemask. Is a a tad exaggerated yes sometimes, but I usually have the setting set to normal or even conservative and viola very rarely if ever get a facemasking call. And if I need the big play then I will turn it to aggressive, knowing there is the chance that I might get the big play and turnover or the dreaded facemasking call.
What I have also noticed is if you use the features here and there and pick your spots they actually work better and have a more realistic feel to them.
I think the game actually penalizes you for overusing the features on aggressive.

I think it penalizes you too.
I changed mine to aggressive in the red zone twice and once got a turnover. Then I went back to conservative.

Re: Record for facemasks?
Wonder why this feature was even put into the game? After my 5 almost in a row face masks penalties last night...I just don't feel like its worth the risk anymore(on defense). Pretty safe to say I'm done with this feature already. Maybe next year.

Re: Record for facemasks?
To be honest with you I have picked balance as the default every game and have no idea how to change it, I picked it on accident my first game and have run with it ever since.

Re: Record for facemasks?
the worst i saw was 3 plays in a row by my opponent, but if you're not using aggressive it's a non-issue

Someone who has shaved there entire body asks me if I am a woman? Seriously though, my point is that it doesn't work. If it were a case were you generated many more TOs when using it then this would a risk vs reward talk, but its not. I was just sharing how bad I have seen it be to see what others had experienced as well.

Re: Record for facemasks?
Used to be a time when only girls shaved their bodies. Suddenly since queer eye for the straight guy everyone has to be silky smooth so you can't tell whose junk you're touching. I blame it on the ghey's therefore it's guilt by association.
