This time, Michigan State can call themselves champions. After being victim to a three-way tiebreaker back in season 15, Michigan State can finally claim the Big Ten Conference crown for the first time in NDL history. They share the title with Ohio State, as the two share identical records while not playing each other.



Led by Kirk Cousins and an opportunistic defense with Greg Jones, Michigan State finished their finest season ever. Coach Weasel has been able to turn the program around since taking over back in season 10, reaching a bowl game every season despite consistantly being picked at the bottom of the conference. "Nobody thought we'd be here. We were picked to finish dead last in our conference by the coaches, so it definitely feels nice to exceed expectations."
