It was a disappointing season for the Oklahoma State Cowboys. The six losses by the Cowboys were by a combined 36 points. Five of those six losses were by teams that made bowl games.

"We were competitive in all the games we played this season," said coach Chusker. "But when one play needed to be made, we just weren't able to make it and our opponents were in those losses."
The Cowboys, who finished 6-6 on the season, thought they had at least salvaged the season getting their sixth win in their last game played. But the bowl committee did not put them in a bowl game and the what ifs were amplified.
"We have nobody to blame but ourselves," said Chusker. "I just hope I am able to return next season to try to right the things we did wrong."
Reports out of Stillwater are that coach Chusker probably won't be asked to return next season but nothing official has been announced.
