Feisty's Cold Hard Facts

Article By: NCAA Dynasty League

Welcome to the first installment of Feisty's Cold Hard Facts. As per usual, these are a five-pack full of questions and are asked to provide the Cold Hard Facts in the NDL.

Question #5

Has the NDL grown since Season 1 and what is your opinion on the leagues status as of now?

I unfortunately was not coaching in the NDL at the time the league formed, but being here since Season 3 I have seen it all. Since the days of JeffMo and FattMatt and SSI7698 and the different power struggles between coaches and leadership. I myself have been in the forefront of many of those problems/concerns. The league has grown so much and even though we are in Season 22 and year 8, the league is really the best online league/group/clan I have ever seen. Tons of coaches have met each other off the game and for the most part everyone gets along and enjoys playing games. We had another changing of the guard this season and with Buckeye taking over it adds a differently element that each Commissioner has had. The NDL is at the top of the game and I dare someone/something to knock it off.

Question #4

How has EA evolved in the making of NCAA Football?

NCAA '12 has come a long way from NCAA '05 (first year of NDL) and the online world has changed quite a bit. We have seen years where passing is fun and cheap and where running is fun and cheap. We have gone from zero AI to too much AI. I really feel like the developers are listening to the gamers and I feel as if EA is doing a great job of mixing things up and keeping the real football fans excited every year. There is always something to build off of and every year EA comes out with a new aspect and that is really what the NDL does also. A new aspect every year.

Question #3

Is the pressure of defending a National Title and being a father of the year going to prove too much for Shel/LSU?

I have no idea how it feels to be a father, but I will say I have been around kids and my family enough to know that a persons' mindset will never be the same. Shel loves the ps3 and football and the friends he has on this game, but his #1 priority as it should be will be the kids. With that being said and the kids being as young as they are now I think he will be fine as they arent necessarily asking him to goplay catch and/or dropping them off at school. Once he sits down and starts going to work he should be able to completely put himself into the game at hand. It won't be any easier for sure, but I think LSU is still the team to beat for the National Title.

Question #2

What is to make of Mr. Lynch being called to Washington to preach his political views?

This is one of the things that makes the NDL so great. Here is a guy who literally pours every opinion he has onto every thread he can and as much as possible. Then you have true friends and comedic friends combine to create pure gold. Trendon fully takes freedom of speech and it is a great thing that he doesn't hold anything back. Too many people in this country/league/world think it isn't their place to voice their opinions. Last time I checked, we live in the United States of America and you should feel free to say whatever you want. (As long as it is within the confines of the law) I think Trendon should continue to write/call and demonstrate to any politica figures as long as he does it the right way, because you never know when someone will call.

Question #1

What should we be looking for in Season 22's Heisman race?

You should look for a type of player that sits next to a quarterback on the field and that position is: runningback. Without a doubt I believe at the end of this season four out of five finalists will be a runningback. As of right now the passing game is not as extravagent and the defenses are better. The offensive lines are better and the vision that each runningback possess are crucial to all 117 teams. I believe that a runningback from a BCS conference will be crowned as the Season 22 Heisman and a couple of early front runners are: Alabama's Trent Richardson, Penn State's Silas Redd and Texas's Malcolm Brown.
