The Losing Edge

Article By: NCAA Dynasty League

With NDL participation at an all-time high for a 3rd season, it has lead to quite a few unsightly records. Quite a few teams are still winless.

Virginia (0-7) Gambit725: Gambit has never been great, but he has never been this bad either. He only has 2 winning seasons to his name in 11 seasons. He has 5 games left, but you can chalk up 2 as losses to FSU and VT. NC State doesn't look good either. However he has winnable games against Maryland and Duke left, so I predict he will get an elusive win. Odds of winning: 75%.

Purdue (0-6) TheXtremeLemur: Lemur has been unlucky to say the least. He hasn't lost by more than 10 and that includes 2 ranked opponents. However the Big 10 is brutal and he still has a bunch of tough games. Luckily he has some winnable ones as well. History doesn't tell us much as this is only his second season in the big leagues but he won 4 games last year with SJSU. Odds of winning: 80%.

Tulane (0-6) Uuaww: Although it's bullshit I haven't won yet, in my defense, I have played top 20 SOS schedule. On the other side of things, I have Toro and mcx on my schedule still so I will win. Book it. Odds of winning: 95%.

San Diego State (0-6) calbrs04: Here is probably our first real contender to put up the goose egg in the win column. Another 2nd year coach (why do all new coaches suck?) who hasn't even come close in 5 of his 6 losses to anything resembling competitiveness. The schedule is rough ahead with all of his opponents looking to be favored. His best shot at a win is going to be a simmy, which looks more and more likely every week. Odds of winning outright: 20%, Odds of winning via simmy: 75%.

Mississippi State (0-8) Bernie32: Someone posted earlier this season that Miss State had won the SEC West 2 or 3 years straight. Bernie isn't living up to those expectations. He has been resilient this season but it hasn't helped him in the win column. He only has 4 games left to do it, and two of them are unlikely (Ark and Bama). HOWEVER he does have a game against the fighting Jsense's and then the Egg Bowl vs. Beercop. If he is going to win the rivalry game is his best shot as beercop isn't known for his NCAA prowness. Odds of winning: 25%.

Idaho (0-8) sirloin: What list of sucking wouldn't be complete without beefy. He also has played 8 games and again has come close but hasn't been able to get it done. Beefy's major problem has been scoring points, being held to single digits in 4 contests. However, their is a bit of a silver lining in his schedule ahead. He has games against Utah State, Nevada, and Hawaii, none of which will be farfetched for a win. Along with that he has a guaranteed simmy against Hollywood and San Jose State. So he won't go o'fer. Odds of winning: 20%, Odds of winning via simmy: 99%.

We have quite a few more teams that suck. Relio is 0-3 at Nevada. Hollywood is 0-0 at San Jose State and is going to get 12 sim losses. Rworkman and baker at Louisiana Monroe and Florida International respectively are learning to suck from the king, Hoos who is tanking at Florida Atlantic. That trio is 0-14 combined. The SEC is top heavy this year because along with Bernie at Miss State; beercop, Wasted Memory and kdog are a combined 3-19 with Ole Miss, Vanderbilt and Tennessee. Rupaul is 0-4 in his first season in the NDL at New Mexico. Brwnbear went 0-4 in OOC play with Illinois and is now balking at playing his conference set up so wins for him aren't likely either. Lastly, we have bucki at Duke who lost to feisty, so probably isn't going to win either.
