pac 12 week 1 gotw

Article By: NCAA Dynasty League

In all honest, I would have probably picked the Stanford vs. Miami game as our GoTW but since it's already been played that would take all of the fun out of it. This match up should be just as entertaining though as long time pals and rivals Niddler & GG face off to open their seasons. George and his Huskies had a bit of a set back last season but have already stated that they feel they are in the mix for the conference championship this season. Niddler, who is in his first season at Purdue, had some success with the Sooners last season and will not enter this game intimidated. Look for the Huskies to come out on top in this match up though as this CC feels that Purdue just won't have the horses to keep up with the aerial attack Washington should be able to display.

Pac 12 Notables

#13 6ftdeep 0-0 (0-0) vs. usmarine7t 0-0 (0-0)

Tune up game for the Oregon Ducks as they travel to Muncie and face a coach that would love nothing more than to have the HC position in Eugene. An upset here and maybe he can start dreaming of such things. But, it would be just a dream.

#18 dealer 0-0 (0-0) vs. swelly 0-0 (0-0)

Coach dealer moves on to a new team this season and gets a steal with the 15th pick in the draft. USC will begin flexing their muscle by showing the Big 10 and Northwestern what playing against one of the premier teams in the nation is all about. Swelly will be questioning his decision to schedule this game early on.

ndlkdog 0-0 (0-0) vs. #19 xLiQx 0-0 (0-0)

The Beavers will travel to Austin and try out their team against new Texas coach LiQ. Replacing VVV will be tough on the Longhorns and some suspect it could be a bumpy road for them. The Untouchables Report has OSU pulling the upset. Could it happen?

BsktbllJk: 0-0 (0-0) vs. #20 UclaMac: 0-0 (0-0)

The Bruins have already won their first game in the NDL cup, but according to their coach it wasn't the win they were hoping for. Troy will present some challenges but in the home confines of LA, Mac should be able to finish working out any kinks and begin his quest for a championship season.

#24 iRoccafella: 0-1 (0-0) vs. sammy33: 1-0 (0-0)

This would have been our GoTW, but unfortunately they got the game in before I could roll this one out. In all honesty I would have picked Stanford to walk away with the W so they at least saved me that embarrassment. Stanford, counting the Cup game, is now on a two game losing streak and will need to figure some things out soon if they want to stay in contention for a major bowl game.

phreak 0-0 (0-0) vs. anderlin83 0-0 (0-0)

As will be with most of these write ups this week, it's way to early to tell what everyone's strength and weaknesses are. However, both of these coaches have had great success since they entered the NDL. The Sun Devils get the nod here though as they have already proven they will be a tough team to stop evident by their Round 1 Cup game win over Ohio State.

taruncheel: 0-0 (0-0) vs. baker: 0-0 (0-0)

Arizona will travel to Bowling Green, OH and take on the Falcons in what will probably be another tougher than expected game. Arizona's defense should be one of the best in the conference, but as we all know this years game is not about defense. Look for Arizona to pull off the win, but it will be the offense that saves the day.

krgkmg: 0-0 (0-0) vs. shel311: 0-0 (0-0)

A worthy nomination for GoTW as these two rivals square off for the Rocky Mountain Showdown. Unfortunately for CU, it's been a while since they've had bragging rights over their state brethren. Look for CSU to keep that tradition going.

BigStimpin: 0-0 (0-0) vs. michael22: 0-0 (0-0)

Another instate game that could be a rivalry but should be considered more of a big brother vs. little brother game. Unfortunately for Utah, BigStimpin and Utah State will be acting as big brother in this game.
