Jonesboro welcomes Coach Quest and he has not been more excited. After being on a coaching hiatus for the past 12 years, Quest is back to try to lead the Red Wolves to a Sun Belt championship. When asked about their chances, Quest stated the parts are there and they just need to be molded to become cohesive.
When you are talking about a pack of wolves, you have to have an alpha. Sophomore quarterback Jaylen Raynor has all the tools to lead the team. Quest stated "We (the coaching staff) have to make sure we put him in the best position to be successful." Raynor will rely on the legs of Ja'quez Cross and Zak Wallace. There is plenty of speed at the receiver position, it's Raynor's job to get them ball in space.
Defense is another as the Red Wolves will be needing the offense to keep the ball and score as much as possible. Quest talked about the lack of team speed on the defensive side of the ball. The plan is to keep everyone in front of them and have the opposing team make the mistakes. This should be a fun year.
