SMU Wins Home Opener

Old friends and scrimmage partners met on the virtual gridiron in this one with Coach Steamrollr22 taking on Coach SSi. SMU started slow in this one but got it rolling by halftime. A big pass from Stone to Bailey broke it open in the latter part of the first quarter. Turnovers killed the Owls as they threw 5 ints to Mustang defenders. Big plays were the name of the game for SMU, both running backs had plays of 50+yards. Jennings saw some action and keeps getting familiar with the offense in case Stone goes down. Kicker Collin Rogers goes 3/3 with 58 yard FG to end the first half. SMU now shifts focus to a bitter rivalry game against a tough team from North Texas.
