Passing attack was not enough against a tough BYU team

BYU defeats ULM in the BEEFY CUP 31-24

ULM hosted BYU in the BEEFY CUp and struggled to get things going. Running the ball was not working and they found themselves down big at the half. There was also a big mental error right before half as ULM was able to get the ball all the way down to the 1, but had no timeouts and the clock ran out. This left them in a deficit of 24-3. In the 2nd half, ULM switched things up a bit and went on the passing attack. They were able to make some good plays and brought the game close, but not close enough. Coach Taruncheel commented, "We could not stop their running attack. We gave up over 300 yards of rushing. The D-line needs to improve and learn how to stop the run. Our QB hung in there and tried to mount the comeback, but it was too little too late."
