UCF wins Group 2, Served Humble Pie

UCF hosted Toledo in their final game of BEEFY Cup pool play, but fall 45-28.

The Knights offense allowed 2 pick-sixes and 1 90 yard scoop and score breaking the backs of their comeback hopes.

The knights got down 28-0 but came storming back to get the game 31-21. They had Toledo on the ropes, but gave up huge 3rd and 11 play. They had the QB sacked, but apparently the break tackle rating of Toledo QB was too good as he escaped to throw a dart to a wide open WR down field.

UCF responded with a huge drive to cut the lead again to 10 but a fumble 90 yard scoop and score killed the comeback try.

“You never need to lose, but I’d argue we needed this. We were riding high, everything working for us through 3 cup and 3 regular season games. We’ll learn from this and improve by taking care of the ball” - RB
