HOLY WAR NDL STYLE

THE HOLY WAR IS COMING SOON (BYU @ Utah)

Article By: TSTEPANEK

Hell has officially frozen over!

This is the one game each team has circled on their respective calendars and is rapidly approaching. Week 11 in the NDL is when you put the women and children to bed early and put those big boy pants on. You can toss records and history out the window as history cannot be agreed upon by either side (the Utes say the series is 62-35-4 while the Cougs claim it’s 59-32-4).

You can look at the records and know these two won’t be in the hunt for the B12 title. However, it must be said again – THIS IS THE HOLY WAR and records don’t matter. You want the truth – YOU CAN’T HANDLE THE TRUTH – BYU comes in at 5-3 and at the time of writing Utah sits at 3-3 with a couple games to get in the books.

Two old heads are at the helm of each respective school. Coach Dakshdar has coached at 18 different schools during his NDL tenure and has racked up 206 wins (185 losses). On the other side, Coach TStep has been at 10 different schools and has won 115 games and lost 108. Coach TStep had two seasons at Utah in prior seasons going 12-12. He compared his Utah to BYU experiences. “If you want a miserable city, school, and football program go to Utah. If you want the best come to Provo – the best in the nation hands down.”

I asked each coach for a quote on the upcoming game:

Coach TStep “We want to get out of that place faster than a prairie fire with a tailwind. What the hell is a Ute?"

Coach Dak “War is God’s way of teaching geography. I’m quoting Abe Lincoln on that.”
