JSU Will Not Remove Interim Tag

The Gamecocks are rolling into the end of the season having won three straight and likely redeeming the rough start to the year with a bowl trip.

That will not be enough to remove the interim tag from head coach Block M however.

It was announced today by the Jacksonville State Athletic Director that the Gamecocks will explore all options in finding their next full-time head coach which could very well be Block M if they so choose.

Block M was brought in by the university shortly after the season began and has been coaching with an interim label ever since.

Jacksonville State won their opener under Block M by beating Ohio but would go 1-6 in their next seven games to fall to 2-6. The Gamecocks improved however and began rattling off wins to redeem the season late but it was not enough to be in contention for a spot in the C-USA Championship Game despite muddled conference standings behind run away leader Liberty.

What will NDL Season 30 bring from Jacksonville State and Block M? Only time will tell.
