Illini drops to 0-2 going into B1G

Illinois dropped a second straight today to Boise St. behind a fierce ground game from Ashton Jeanty.

When asked after the game Coach Hail stated “Proud of our team how we went out there and competed. A lot to look at going forward. We gotta play faster on defense and we’ve gotta have better reads on the backend of our defense”.

Illinois offense sputtered after having a decent performance against Nebraska earlier in the week. Talented SO RB Kaden Feagin is slowly coming into his own behind a veteran O-Line however the lack of speed on the outside is becoming a problem for Illinois.

The Fighting Illini will look to get back on track in the next week.
