All The Marbles AAC Title Game
Article By: The champion of the American Athletic Conference has been determined as the Memphis Tigers knocked off the Blazers of UAB, 35-14.
It looked as though the Blazers would unseat the bullies of rhe AAC after jumping out to a 14-0 lead after the first quarter but Memphis slowly turned the momentum by putting together long extended drives and force the Blazers to drive the length of the field. The Tigers best defense was a good offense and keeping the high powered Blazers watching on the sidelines.
Coach MGR said after the game, “Game plan was simple . UAB plays fast and we wanted to control the clock by running the ball and make them go the length of the field defensively. We also dialed down the blitz and tried to make Zeno make good reads.”
MGR and the Tigers will await their playoff possibilities as the rest of the league plays out this week.
Congratulations to both coaches and teams on fantastic seasons and look forward to seeing them rep the AAC in the bowl season.
