The University of Tulsa has found its new leader, and it’s a homecoming story for the ages. Texasfan4444, a Tulsa native, has been named the new head coach of the Golden Hurricane football program. After building a strong reputation with coaching stops at Vanderbilt and the University of Arkansas, he now returns to lead the team he grew up cheering for.
Texasfan4444’s coaching journey has been marked by discipline, player development, and a knack for turning programs around. At Vanderbilt, he helped elevate the program in the ultra-competitive SEC, and at Arkansas, he played a key role in strengthening the Razorbacks’ presence in the conference. Now, he’s bringing that experience back to Tulsa, aiming to restore the program to national prominence.
“This is home,” Texasfan4444 said at his introductory press conference. “I grew up dreaming about Tulsa football, and now I have the chance to lead this team. We’re going to build something special here.”
