An unopened letter to the CFP committee

Article By: TuddyRoosevelt

To the Esteemed Members of the College Football Playoff Selection Committee,

As you stand on the precipice of making decisions that will define legacies, I implore you to look beyond the surface and truly see the heart of a team that has fought tooth and nail for its place among the nation's elite: the Northwestern Wildcats. With an undeniable 11-1 record, this season has been a testament to resilience, growth, and unwavering determination. We understand the scrutiny that comes with a perceived "easier" schedule, but we ask you to consider the grit and resolve it takes to dominate every opponent put in front of you.

The numbers tell a story of power and precision. Ranking third in the nation in rushing yards, and consistently breaking into the top 25 for both total offense and defense, Northwestern has proven its ability to control the game on both sides of the ball. We force turnovers with a vengeance, ranking second in the nation for turnovers forced and interceptions, and third in fumbles recovered. Yes, there was a stumble—a home loss against a formidable Iowa team. But that game does not define us; it fueled us. We were missing two key players, but we emerged stronger, more united, and more determined than ever.

Our final surge—a four-game winning streak capped by a resounding 49-21 victory over Michigan—is a testament to our unwavering spirit. We are a team built on the fundamental pillars of running the ball and playing suffocating defense, qualities that transcend any venue or opponent. The Northwestern Wildcats have poured every ounce of their being onto the field this year, leaving no doubt that they are ready to face anyone, anywhere. We don't seek pity or charity; we seek the chance to prove what we already know: that we belong among the best. Give us that chance, and you will witness a team that plays with heart, passion, and an unyielding belief in their ability to conquer any challenge.

On a more serious note, As my first season comes to a close here in NDL, I do want to take a second and thank everyone. This league is so fun and interactive, and exactly what I was looking for. I know there’s ups and downs, arguments and laughs, wins and loss(es), but one thing the overall league does show is acceptance and support. As you look through the channels you see guys interacting in every aspect of life, from 17yrs old to some guys having 17yr olds. It’s truly amazing. I really enjoyed this first season and hope to be a long time, active member who can bring something beneficial to the table for the betterment and existence to the league. Thanks for having me fellas and if all I have left is a bowl game. Then bring in CFB26.

GO Cats ….. also O-H
