With Block 2 coming to a close, let’s take a look at the MAC conference and the teams and players that are leading the way.
#1 Akron –
Although they haven’t started conference play yet, Akron stands above the MAC with a solid start to their season at 4-0. Coach Naydog has his boys rolling but the question is can he keep this momentum going?
Standing out for the Zips:
QB Ben Finley 103/133 for 1,363 yards 14 TDs and 4 INTs on the season
#2 Eastern Michigan
This team was forgotten off the preview but they wanted to make sure we noticed them with a great 3-1 start on the season. Coach Krusing is making sure his boys get noticed.
QB Noah Kim is currently at the top of the MAC for QBs and 2nd in the league with 95/118 for 1,365 yards 12 TDs and 6 INTs.
#3 Central Michigan
The Chips are no strangers to being in the top 5 in the MAC and Coach Chip has his boys fired up at a 2-1 start.
WR Nahree Biggins 13 catches for 355 yards and 5 TDs
#4 Toledo
Coach FootballKelly has the Rockets off to a great 2-1 season as well and with the talent he has on his squad they could definitely see themselves at the top of the conference at seasons end.
QB Tucker Gleason is off to a great start 43/35 for 637 yards for 5 TDs and 1 INT
#5 Western Kentucky
The Broncos only have one game on the season but they are rounding out our top 5 teams this block. We will look to see if they stay in this group at the end of this block.
