you mean like every commish did before you? Reign/Trendon did a lot of things behind the scenes for the betterment of this league. You're commish for more reasons than just pressing the sim button.Cnasty wrote:I once again ask not only you but every single one of you during this time period to put your complaints and thoughts into some sort of proposal or plan.nick wrote:im sayin that the league is taking a direction where this shit is lame as fuck.
It's the offseason and the time we should be utilizing to have proposals, votes, and discussion on enhancements to the league.
Continually complaining and yet offering no solutions does no good for anyone.
I am 100% sure people would be in an uproar if I started making decisions that impact the entire league without any input and on my own opinions but glad to do so if you want.

I think most of the guys here, even with their dislike for you, will still vote for what is best for the league.
Sure, maybe I am naive but it has been shown to happen in the past and I think it will continue to.

I think the 2 coach votes from me and then Nick proved Nick correct.Cnasty wrote:I think most of the guys here, even with their dislike for you, will still vote for what is best for the league.

There was literally no other reason the votes would sway the way they did.

You comparing "tweaks" to placing a league changing/financial establishment upheaval is why you wonder why most dont take you seriously.nick wrote:you mean like every commish did before you? If I post the poll, which i am more than happy to do, they will know where it stemmed from and it wont matter.

Nope. Just amount of cash on hand each team can max at and yes we had full length discussions on that and input provided before we did that.nick wrote:did Reign not put some weird ass salary cap on the league? pretty sure he didnt run that by us.

what do u think the reason was then for the large discrepancy in votes?Cnasty wrote:I dont.shel311 wrote:I think the 2 coach votes from me and then Nick proved Nick correct.Cnasty wrote:I think most of the guys here, even with their dislike for you, will still vote for what is best for the league.

Not saying I'd quit but this 100% decreases my interest. At this point I don't see any reason to go out and try to better my team, call it selfish, whatever...I don't mind the 200 mil payrolls or even the 225-250, but we're 2.5x above a given budget. Isn't that a bit far fetched in realm of realism? No owner would approve it. If projected revenue was 190 mil there's no way anyone approves 375 mil in expenses.

Re: Richmond/Montreal Trade
I think there was honestly still confusion from the wording and the actual requirements. Even when changed people still might have been confused.
I think you have posted polls before and they were approved or at least looked at rationally.
I dont think nick has ever made a poll and assumes something that truly cannot be vetted until there is something to show that.

He didn't make the playoffs, so how does he payroll matter to whether you'll try to make your team better or not?dusters06 wrote:Not saying I'd quit but this 100% decreases my interest. Re: Richmond/Montreal Trade
Let alone showing a team with 87 wins winning the title with a top 10 payroll.
Re: Richmond/Montreal Trade
Seriously, that makes no sense. You just beat Corey who is the most stacked team I have ever seen.shel311 wrote:He didn't make the playoffs, so how does he payroll matter to whether you'll try to make your team better or not?dusters06 wrote:Not saying I'd quit but this 100% decreases my interest. Right. But the non playoff team makes you want to not get better?wdoupis wrote:Seriously, that makes no sense. I don't get it at all
Re: Richmond/Montreal Trade
Montreal had a better record than the AL White and Red winner tho. He didnt make it cause we reward division winners a spot. or else hes in as a 5 seed.

Fifty per cent of clubs are losing money and this is an increasing trend. We needed to stop this downward spiral. They have spent more than they have earned in the past and haven't paid their debts. We don't want to kill or hurt the clubs; on the contrary, we want to help them in the market. The teams who play in our tournaments have unanimously agreed to our principles…living within your means is the basis of accounting but it hasn't been the basis of football for years now. The owners are asking for rules because they can't implement them themselves - many of them have had it with shoveling money into clubs and the more money you put into clubs, the harder it is to sell at a profit

Re: Richmond/Montreal Trade
the NBA rule for trading over the limit is within 10%. add up the sides, and if they dont match then u decline the deal. or within 25% even (give more leeway)

Re: Richmond/Montreal Trade
I've said it before, and will again, I do think we need something.
It needs to be easy for owners to recognize when trading
Easy to be policed
Fair to continue trade avenues open
