Poll Results ~ Bowls to Come
Re: Poll Results ~ Bowls to Come
re freaking lax. Anyone who alphabetically votes, doesnt get credit. Anyone who give people all ZEROS on coaches reports for no reason doesnt get cedit for that dn it gets wiped out also
Just because some things arent advertised as being done for everyone on the boards to hear doesnt mean they arent being done.

jsence2 wrote:But if teams that won TWO GAMES are getting votes in the top 25, there's no way to justify that.
I can see if someone made a mistake (and odds are, the Arizona State vote was a vote meant for Arkansas State, etc), but it just shows that people aren't even taking the time to double-check the polls.
Most times votes like that are mistakes, so there is the justification, plus the buffalo mess which is just silly. Going back to the original point, Totally off base votes are not credited for the coach. Dont get bent out of shape if one or 2 schools get votes by accident or even on purpose, just like folks who dont get voted by a few people who do "deserve" to be in the top 25 also dont need to get bent out of shape. Cant please em all.
Fact is there is no perfect way to vote, some take 2 minutes some take 20, they may be the same, they may be different, but it has never screwed anyone out of a BCS spot nor will it ever.

Are we going to get to view them? Got guys bitching and they aren't even visable.

Re: Poll Results ~ Bowls to Come
If everyone looks at the first post, it clearly states:
"the last URL isn't working properly just yet, be patient."
The key word is the last word, "patient."
Griping about it will not get the link fixed any faster. Plus, this is a video game, is it not? I am amazed how much has changed from when I was in the league in seasons: 7-9. Before we would laugh if someone picked a 1-11 team. Maybe it is more about the win and bowl game now then it was before. Yeah we all wanted to get into a bowl game but if we didn't it wasn't a big deal. Messing up on polls happens because we all have jobs and busy lives and yes we can make mistakes.
To completely call some one out and be so mad about it is halfway comical because it's just a game. Let's take a deep breath and remember why we got into this league. For me it was because it was not a "win at all cost" league. Instead it was a place to have fun playing games for a hobby and meeting new people. Even if the people you do meet are your biggest college rivals
Feel free to disagree with me if you want and call me names and bla bla bla but somebody had to say it because there are a lot of individuals that work hard to make this league a success and they shouldn't have to read posts such as the ones that are complaining about the polls not working or mistakes in the polls committed by NDL members.

Weird voting for sure. Shocked to see how many polls Ole Miss got left off of, but even Miami got screwed on a few polls dang.

Looks like the voting thing was messed up for a lot of us, including myself: I somehow (despite doing my list, rechecking it, and then checking it again after I submitted it) have Miami OH in the top 5, when it showed Tha U being there.

S14: N Texas 7-1
S15: Wake 8-5
S16-21: Washington 9-4, 10-3, 8-5, 9-4, 7-6, 6-7
S22: Ohio 8-5
S23: ECU 12-2
S24-26: Kentucky 8-5, 5-7, 5-7

Re: Poll Results ~ Bowls to Come
On my poll, I have all the teams in the final top 25 except 2, Utah and New Mexico as I put TCU ahead of them and Hawaii in there. My reasoning......TCU, New Mexico and UTAH all had same record and it was a push as they beat each other. Mtwasik been at TCU forever so he got the edge for loyalty.
As far as Hawaii being in over the other two, 9 game win streak to end the season....nuff said.

Re: Poll Results ~ Bowls to Come
Yea not much to get worked about. I bet anyone can go through each and every poll and find things they wouldn't agree with. Some obviously way more obvious than others, but one bad vote here or there isn't going to kill anyone.

Re: Poll Results ~ Bowls to Come
Pretty much sums it up. Some teams we all will find common ground on. For others, we use different factors to determine who goes where. 120 people, 120 opinions.huskerskev84 wrote:Yea not much to get worked about. Re: Poll Results ~ Bowls to Come
I guess I am looking at it different than most. I take a little time to carefully consider my votes, I really enjoy the process very much. It is one thing if we are talking opinions on a team being better than another even with a worse record or the respect for a coach that is one thing, but when I see ones that are illogical I have a hard time understanding why a poll like that was even submitted.
