By the way, Tom Brady is GOAT and there is no fucking argument any longer.

Maybe, until Flynn takes over the title about 8 years from now. Duh.

Oh, and Manning>Brady

if Manning's oline gave him 15 seconds in the pocket every play he'd be unstoppable.

They don't and yet Manning STILL puts up better numbers over his career than Brady.

Ho Hum.

Not when judging individuals, not at all.

So, like i said above, do you think Big Ben is the 2nd best QB in the league today?

Bradshaw top 3 all time?

You gotta be consistent with your argument if you're gonna give so much credit to a TEAM accomplishment when judging individuals.

Well, considering that Indianapolis has always had a better team around him (sans 2008), I would say that Brady is the reason they won all of those titles while Manning was the reason the Colts did not.

I would take Joe Montana over ANYONE as a game manager and when a game is on the line there is no contest. He is simply a winner and I hate ND.
really cant compare bradshaw as football was a different game played with a different mindset and rules. Hell, it was open season on qb's back then. Farve would never have his record if he played in the 70's or early 80's.

1. That's crazy talk. You're severely underrating Brady's Defenses and Olines.

2. Please explain how Brady has had worse teams, and won with worse teams by performing worse than Manning.

Ok, so is Big Ben better than Manning and Drew Brees?

He has more titles, that's better than stats.

The Patriots were ranked 24th in total defense in 2001 and still won the Super Bowl. Between 2001 and 2006, Brady was the only offensive player named to the Pro Bowl for the Patriots and still put up great stats. Since you gave him Pro Bowlers (Moss, Light, Mankins), he has gone off. Imagine his stats if he had any talent around him for the first six seasons. Manning, on the other hand, has had two first round receivers (Wayne and Harrison), two first round running backs and a future hall of fame running back (Addai, James, and Faulk), a first round TE (Dallas Clark) and first round and three-time Pro Bowler OL (Tarik Glenn). In his 12 years as a starter he has had a total of 25 offensive Pro Bowlers around him including 15 All-Pro players.

And the result?

Side-by-side after 110 starts in their careers:

Completion percentage:
Brady-63.0%
Manning-63.5%

Yards per attempt:
Brady-7.2
Manning-7.6

Touchdown percentage:
Brady-5.4%
Manning-5.6%

Interception percentage:
Brady-2.4%
Manning-3.1%

Overall Passer Rating:
Brady-92.91
Manning-92.31

football is the hardest sport to argue about. too many other factors come into play. not nearly as easy as baseball and basketball

i would say that championships really shouldn't matter when judging individual players unless everything else is nearly identical.

This thread is like a cycle.

Good shit, bad shit, good shit, bad shit.

Contains about 9 of the same arguments about Brady vs the world and then greatness then back to Brady.

That is what I am talking about with Shel right now. Their numbers are fucking identical. Thus, I default to wins.
