Maybe, until Flynn takes over the title about 8 years from now. Duh.
Oh, and Manning>Brady

if Manning's oline gave him 15 seconds in the pocket every play he'd be unstoppable.trendon wrote:LOL at Manning. No.

Titles are better than stats. Montana better than Marino. Brady better than Manning.shel311 wrote:nick wrote:if Manning's oline gave him 15 seconds in the pocket every play he'd be unstoppable.trendon wrote:LOL at Manning. No.
They don't and yet Manning STILL puts up better numbers over his career than Brady.
Ho Hum.
Not when judging individuals, not at all.beercop wrote:Titles are better than stats. Montana better than Marino. Brady better than Manning.
Well, considering that Indianapolis has always had a better team around him (sans 2008), I would say that Brady is the reason they won all of those titles while Manning was the reason the Colts did not.shel311 wrote:Not when judging individuals, not at all.beercop wrote:Titles are better than stats. So, like i said above, do you think Big Ben is the 2nd best QB in the league today?
Bradshaw top 3?
You gotta be consistent with your argument if you're gonna give so much credit to a TEAM accomplishment when judging individuals.
I would take Joe Montana over ANYONE as a game manager and when a game is on the line there is no contest. He is simply a winner and I hate ND.shel311 wrote:Not when judging individuals, not at all.beercop wrote:Titles are better than stats. Montana better than Marino. Brady better than Manning.

Bradshaw top 3 all time?

1. That's crazy talk. You're severely underrating Brady's Defenses and Olines.trendon wrote:Well, considering that Indianapolis has always had a better team around him (sans 2008), I would say that Brady is the reason they won all of those titles while Manning was the reason the Colts did not.
Ok, so is Big Ben better than Manning and Drew Brees?beercop wrote:I would take Joe Montana over ANYONE as a game manager and when a game is on the line there is no contest. He is simply a winner and I hate ND.
really cant compare bradshaw as football was a different game played with a different mindset and rules. Hell, it was open season on qb's back then. Farve would never have his record if he played in the 70's or early 80's.
That is what I am talking about with Shel right now. Their numbers are fucking identical. Thus, I default to wins.DRiccio21 wrote:football is the hardest sport to argue about. too many other factors come into play. not nearly as easy as baseball and basketball
i would say that championships really shouldn't matter when judging individual players unless everything else is nearly identical.
