GAME 2

In another pitcher's duel, Marc Hughes led off the bottom of the 10th for Carolina with a double. After an intentional walk, a Teddy Miller error plated Hughes for the 2-1 win that knots the series.

GAME 3

In a wild game, both starters were knocked around and Carolina banged out 16 hits. Carolina tied or took the lead four times and led 9-7 in the ninth before Jose Hernandez gave the game away in seven pitches. A leadoff single by Jimenez was immediately followed up by a Bill Pickett - surprise, surprise - home run to tie it. Paul Ervin followed a groundout with a solo shot to win the game.

The Bulldogs had the tying runs on 2nd and third for Julio Soto, but he lined out to first and Carolina holds on after jumping out to a 7-1 lead after four.
