I honestly don't care what we do but this is a broken solution to a broken problem. We're instituting a change that is a band-aid on a head wound. We're helping out those that didn't get as much money in the mistake by evening out the field for the rest of the season and in the process screwing those that got more money (which will become more evident nce the season ends).

The only true and proper fix is starting again from the OOTP10 file but since we'll lose a lot of participation that way, that really isn't an option.

if anything me and sioux should be mad, this extra revenue pushed up the contract demands making it merely impossible for us to sign a quality player. But I personally dont care and prefer more parity so lets get the show on the road !!!

I'm sure it will impact several teams long term in regards to their plans with extensions and FAs next season.

I disagree, but we are apparently going to go around in circles on this one.

People are talking about future extensions. I lost about 5-6 ML ready players cause I couldnt offer them arbitration this offseason with $0. I wish I got an extra $20 million buyout from the media government like some of you but I didnt.

I had to release players asking for 900k! Thats how little I had. And people who got way too much are complaining? About the future? Well it happened to some of us this year

The budgets will be adjuted to the correct amount for next season. Everyone will be affected.

Dak- you can always ask that your signed FA be put back in the FA pool thereby eliminating your problem. Is that what you want?

If you think simply dropping the FAs I signed solves the problem, well, I can't help you understand this then.

I thought your issue was that you signed players based on the perception of a bigger budget. Thats what you have been complaining about. I am giving you an option to correct part of the problem.

To be honest, I dont understand your problem. I am trying to give you options to fix it but you have not done a good job helping me understand how this has affected you other than you thought you had more money than you really did.

There is a difference between the perception of a bigger budget and actually having a bigger budget. I'm pretty positive that my computer screen wasn't tricking me into thinking I had a bigger budget by displaying false numbers that impacted my perception of the situation.

Sorry, but if I dropped the FAs I signed then I'd also need the option to try to sign a lower cost player at those positions. Problem is, those players have already been signed. This is a non-solution.

This is really high comedy. Who in the league thought they had more money than they did? Everyone had the money they had! The parameters were communicated to us and we all acted and reacted by what the game provided! Saying we didn't have the money is a fallacy! You can say we shouldn't have had it, which you have, but we had it and we acted within the parameters of the game when given that information.

You are over budget by $5M, you can drop one of your FA or just stay where you are at. Its completely up to you. Sorry for the inconvenience.

No WAR is good WAR!!!!!

Bear, so if I don't do anything, I will basically make up my $5mil hole in revenue after the season starts and be back on track,no??

I was raising ticket prices drastically anyways with how many big moves we made.

Did you think of this going forward? You spend the money this year, next season we go to the fixed rate of $40 million, well guess what? you just lost 10-30 million off media, and its gonna come off your budget, so your owner is gonna cut you $30 million, so youre fucked anyways.

Do people ever do the math on how much you actually make?

35 000 fans x 81 games = 2.835 million people, they pay what? avg im guessing 21/ticket.

you made $60 million... where's the rest of your money coming from? 40 mil from Media is 100 million.

Your budget is determined by Revenue from Gate/Playoffs/Media and Merchandise. I dunno how much we get if any off merchandise, but as you see most stadiums are gonna pull in 100 mil, so i'd expect everyone to be in the red next year anyways.

this makes sense. cause itd explain the spike that Media revenue did alone to teams.

Yes, thats correct. If you make $5M more than last year, you budget should be around the same (assuming you still get revenue sharing of $10M).

Trendon set up rules when we started this game (they are still there is you are interested). The migration changed the rules. A correction is being made to fix the problem. Adjustments have to be made. A lot of people are being affected. Its not just you. I have to change my plans too as does AJ. It sucks, but thats why we have rules.

Keep in mind that your budget for next year (after you sign all those extentions you planned on) would be reduced automatically to the correct value. So we are actually giving you an opportunity to avoid making a bigger mistake by signing guys to a budget you expect to keep. We cant allow you to keep the budget. It will eventually need to be changed.
