Re: 2024 - Season - RULE 5 and FREE AGENCY (Ready 7/5)
My owner is a penny pincher. I make the playoffs and get past the first round and he gives me less money for my payroll. Now it doesnt even look like I can sign a FA because of him.

I think thats more so to do with the 100m cap thingy being dropped to 50m. I lost money too, I think everyone did.

Re: 2024 - Season - RULE 5 and FREE AGENCY (Ready 7/5)
Yeah, I can't sign anyone either. I'm lowering the bar to thirty wins this season.

Re: 2024 - Season - RULE 5 and FREE AGENCY (Ready 7/5)
It's starting to look like the 50m cash cap is going to keep teams w high payrolls/budgets high, and handicap those with lower. Unless I'm missing something.

Re: 2024 - Season - RULE 5 and FREE AGENCY (Ready 7/5)
did you cut someone and eat a huge chunk of salary? cause just quick glance in the financials it says you have a $100 mil player payroll, but your salaries add up to $69 million.GeorgesGoons wrote:I dont have any stupid contracts and couldn't sign one even if i triednick wrote:let this be a lesson to all of us for signing these stupid contracts to begin with.

Not much money to sign FAs here but enough for some bargains and then a good amount for extensions

Yup. Just means that if you don't have room under your budget, you don't have as much money to bail you outajalves wrote:50 m is 50m regardless of budgetjsence2 wrote:It's starting to look like the 50m cash cap is going to keep teams w high payrolls/budgets high, and handicap those with lower. Yeah, if you're spending your cash to sign FAs you are going to be in trouble later. Owners lower budgets bc teams underperform

Paco Barron's contract legal?
5 years at 21 per, then a team option at 31, then a player option at 31

Re: 2024 - Season - Free Agency (Ready 7/7)
Reign, I got an email stating that I would lose my first round pick for signing Barron. Is that just because the game doesnt have the new rules programmed in? The new rules stated we don't lose the first round pick....
