Yeah, he was essentially kidnapped and murdered a day or two after the match.

The associate press story indicated that the family/friends of the player that was killed by the ref (died on the way to the hospital, allegedly, so not killed in the game) stormed the field immediately, stoned the ref, quartered the ref, and put his head on a stake. No news source has any mention of kidnapping or murder a day or two later. Maybe you're thinking of another ref that was killed?

II really liked Iglesias but can't fault themove as a stud pprospect is in waiting and better than Iglesias I presume.

I like the deal for the Sox, they really didn't give up any prime players. Despite Iglesias' surface numbers this year, he's really no more than an average to below average bat with above average defensive skills. I'm a huge Peavy fan so may be a bit of bias

I was hoping they werent going to give up Xander Bogarts (Shel's favorite Sox player) and they also got some bullpen help.

I like the deal especially with Bucholz being a question mark.

No wonder he's ready to get back into the lineup from his injury. He'd be back just in time for the stretch run next season.
