Pellini goes from getting fired at Nebraska to head coach at....Youngstown State?!?!?

I guess that is better than a very bad D1 team, right?

They struggled in games because they were poorly coached. That great Nebraska team had an edge in two spots over that Miami team, QB and coaching.

Also the Big 12 was ass when Nebraska was dominating.

What in the world was exciting about the 1st half of that episode?

I'll concede that the 2nd half I didn't watch was probably much better. But the 1st half was just a recap of games/seasons, hell even Billy Corbin(director) said on Lebby's radio show that the 1st half wasn't all that interesting and didn't turn out as he'd hoped(or something along those lines), so I can't be that crazy.

I just remember watching those games growing up and having no idea about how Davis got kids to walk on and gave them track schollies and shit. How he worked around the sanctions was very interesting to me.

Davis was a godsend.

Unfortunately I don't see a Davis in the future saving this program.

He was hit or miss. Had some awesome moments and then some very bad. Hence no nfl career.

Worst canes fan ever. Haven't even watched it yet. Too depressing.

Pollini didn't pull any punches on the way out...

http://www.omaha.com/huskers/bo-pelini- ... da4f8.html

Kinda makes me like him a little more, say what you will, but he sticks up for his guys. I think he'll do well at YSU, especially being from the area

As a leader (coaches are leaders IMO) you shouldn't involve your subordinates (players) with these types of things. I've always been a Bo fan, but this knocks him down quite a bit for me, you never let the kids you lead get into the political game of how your career plays out. You should just lead, coach and mentor them to be better players and men.

It could potentially foster a negative vibe amongst the team moving forward. If he really had these kids interests in mind he should have left it that it was great being their coach and that if they needed anything moving forward he is always available to help them out.

I also agree that he will do well at YSU. He's from the area and he understands the core values of the families around there. It also helps that he has Tressel there to help mentor him a little more as well. If I was given the opportunity to sit down with Bo, my one piece of advice would be the "us against the world" mentality isn't always a positive thing. I see myself as pretty fiery, abrasive at times, and passionate in what I do, like Bo, and I could attest that the mentality stated above isn't good in the greater scheme of things.

Miami is leaving Nike and going to choose between either Adidas or Under Armour. It'll be interesting to see how this affects the "brand". Adidas has put some awful football uniforms out there.

I saw something on that but why and what are the specifics?

Nike dropping them or vice versa?
