Did he? I've been misinformed since the post San Fran interview. You may be correct nick. He better not wear those gold cleats.
Nevermind. I was thinking about Sherman.

He graduated from Stanford. He is a lot smarter than he sounds in his interviews.

Agree on knee pads... hated them. Thigh pads were great if you had the ball in your hands a lot. I'm sure I dodged quite a few thigh bruises by having them. I also think it was a bit of an advantage (maybe just psychological), but I preferred the larger thigh pads because I felt like made it a bit harder to tackle me if contact was made directly on them. Being 6'4" that happened quite a bit.

So you are saying that without thigh and knee pads, there would be just as many, or just as few injuries OR the same amount of guys missing games if players didn't wear them? I'm just asking. I thought that I had read an article, or saw a blurb on studies done on relation to the size of thigh and knee pads getting smaller over the years and the amount of related injuries being reported or time being missed relating to knee/thigh bruises or something like that. Hard to compare when the perception of players back in the day as being ironmen and this generation being pussies. I know I read something about Aussie rules football and the comparison of injures. Interesting to note that most Rugby/Aussie Rules players don't get knee surgeries, they just strengthen the muscles to increase support. I feel like I'm just rambling now.

Yeah I can't imagine guys that are getting beat on constantly wouldn't want some thigh protection.

I should probably backtrack on 1 thing... I removed my knee pads that were a part of the pants. I wore full, thick, neoprene compression sleeves under my pants. It wasn't about the 'padding' that the knee pads gave. I wore the compression sleeves more for skin protection.

#13 Chris Matthews was fined for this handshake after Lynch scored go ahead TD. $11K

I wonder if Thomas was fined when he pretty much tackled Lynch on his "Beastquake 2" run.

I've read that article 5 times now and I'm not seeing where they reported him grabbing his crotch. If you watch that gif he isn't grabbing his crotch, he is holding Lynch's hand. And nowhere in here have I said that I disagreed with Lynch's fine for grabbing his crotch.

*Edit: found it in the title, wasn't looking there. But still, all I'm seeing is him shaking Lynch's hand, not grabbing crotch. If there is another video showing it, then deserved fine, but I'm not seeing it on the 'video evidence' that I have access to.

Triple Post, but it is clear as day when you watch him come in and grab Lynch's hand with his left arm on his elbow.

Again, your presumption was that I was up in arms about Lynch grabbing his crotch and Matthews. I never said anything about Lynch, and I'm not seeing visual evidence of Matthews. You as usual misquoted me.

Yeah, how dare he get fined for something that would get every single one of us fired if we did it to a coworker, or could get you arrested if you did it at certain places! It's so unfair!

I did not hear if Lynch got fined for grabbing his crotch on Chancellors 90 yd INT, clear as day on the sidelines grabbing his crotch.

And stop with "if I did it at my work" shit, nothing outside of sports compares. Should lynch get fined, yes I yell at my kids/players all the time for displays that aren't the same as Lynch but in the same category. And nothing compares to Griffens "joking with a friend".

Then I digress. It seemed like you weren't happy about it

Personally I think the NFL should fine him. The jokes about it were humorous, but it's also something that shouldn't be shown on TV, and it's something we would all get fired for. He should be getting slammed in the pocketbook.

I can't stand that either.

I watch TV and drink alcohol at work but I'll get shot if I sit down or have my hands in my pockets. Other jobs you can sit all you want but can't even have a sniff of alcohol let alone work bombed. Different scenarios all around.
