So you are saying that without thigh and knee pads, there would be just as many, or just as few injuries OR the same amount of guys missing games if players didn't wear them? I'm just asking. I thought that I had read an article, or saw a blurb on studies done on relation to the size of thigh and knee pads getting smaller over the years and the amount of related injuries being reported or time being missed relating to knee/thigh bruises or something like that. Hard to compare when the perception of players back in the day as being ironmen and this generation being pussies. I know I read something about Aussie rules football and the comparison of injures. Interesting to note that most Rugby/Aussie Rules players don't get knee surgeries, they just strengthen the muscles to increase support. I feel like I'm just rambling now.packsyd2284 wrote:Anyone that has played football in here knows thigh and knee pads don't do shit when you get hit and they slow you down........
Yeah I can't imagine guys that are getting beat on constantly wouldn't want some thigh protection.ReignOnU wrote: Agree on knee pads... hated them. Thigh pads were great if you had the ball in your hands a lot. I'm sure I dodged quite a few thigh bruises by having them. I also think it was a bit of an advantage (maybe just psychological), but I preferred the larger thigh pads because I felt like made it a bit harder to tackle me if contact was made directly on them. Being 6'4" that happened quite a bit.
What the fuck are you talking about? I'm talking about #13 that didn't grab his dick, he shook someones handnick wrote:he got fined for grabbing his dick. You think someone grabbing a trainers head wanting head is a moron, then defend a guy grabbing his dick, cause he plays on your fav team.

I never said he shouldn't, said they are fining him for itjsence2 wrote:cougnix wrote: And on top of that, he is now getting fined every time he grabs his crotch.
Yeah, how dare he get fined for something that would get every single one of us fired if we did it to a coworker, or could get you arrested if you did it at certain places! It's so unfair!
