You will not be able to sim so you'd have to recreate the league settings in a separate offline franchise to see how the new game works

It would involve importing into 16 first
You HAVE to do this step if you are trying to do it now.
You DO NOT need a key for 16. You can download the trial and use that. This came straight from Markus, one of the lead developers.

You WILL NOT have to import to 16 first if you wait for Corey to put out the new file once we rollover to the new season.
He will do all the importing for you and then put out an OOTP17 file.

I uploaded a file for anyone that wants to go check it out in the game and website updated as well.

Next steps:
1. I need to do the rollover. That will hopefully happen by Monday or Tuesday
2. I need to import into '16
3. I need to then import into '17
4. I need to work with Reign/JD on verifying settings, running through the new game, work the bugs, eye any variances, etc.
5. New file for '17 will be posted.

Hoping to be ready by next week but again, this import thing is new to me and if it was just a rollover we would be back by Monday.

If you are talking '16, no you do not need to download that program. I am sure you do not need to download the file before he rolls over, I could be wrong. Even if you do not you'll just miss out on an off day in the game and you will get those emails as soon as he switches to '17 and gives us the file info. I'm just waiting till everything is done with '17 until I do either way.

that was him completing the normal rollover stuff. this was typical corey speed. when he moves to 16 and 17 he has a TON more to do to make sure all is well and we can start.
