Owls fall short in Louisville

Both offenses flying around.

An undefeated Cardinal team played host to a winless Owl team as both teams looked to increase their odds at a conference championship. The Cardinals walk away the victors in this one. Both teams allowed the offenses to move the ball at will in the first half. The Cardinals D did force 4 turnovers as the Owls were forcing the ball trying to keep up. A 28-14 halftime deficit was just to much to make up and the final score ended up at 41-28. Good game mike best of luck this season.

Louisville Defeats Temple, 41-28

Cardinals hang on against a feisty Owl team

Louisville, Kentucky - The Louisville Cardinals picked up their first conference victory of the season today, hanging on against the Owls of Temple 41-28. In the first half Teddy Bridgewater was responsible for 3 rushing touchdowns and looked to be on-point, however in the second half things started to fall apart for Bridgewater as he tossed 2 interceptions. Thankfully for Louisville the defense stepped up big in the second half, forcing 3 interceptions to preserve the win. "They gave us all that we could handle," said coach McDonagh at the post game press conference. "We could not stop their passing game in the first half, but we made some adjustments late and it paid off in the form of some huge interceptions. I tip my cap to coach Kelly, he had his boys playing some inspired football."

Good game Kelly. Good luck the rest of the season.
