Blacksburg, VA (AP) If you're overlooking this game, then you clearly didn't see played out in real life this season. The third sign of the apocalypse has come true as the mighty Duke Blue Devils are on a mission to take over the world. In the digital realm, it was up to the Hokies of Virginia Tech to stop them.
This game would start off all Hokies as Logan Thomas led the way with his arm, connecting on 2 TDs to go up 14-0. Afterwards Duke and Virginia Tech would exchange blows bringing it to a 21-7 contest heading into halftime. For Duke they would struggle a bit with the stingy play of the Hokie Defense as Mr. Bonner at Safety was on a mission to be involved in every play out there, leading the way with 9 Tackles, including 1 for a loss.
In the 2nd half, the Hokies played mistake free football and pulled away in the end after Demitri "I'm not related to Beyonce" Knowles delivered a breakaway TD reception to put the Hokies up 3 possessions late in the 4th.
With the win the Hokies remain undefeated in ACC play and now look to the latter half of their conference schedule where the road remains challenging.
