That is my recap, Wow!
I knew this game would be close, but had no idea.
After the first quarter, Iowa was up 7-0. It looked like a chess match as both teams were trying to outsmart the other.
At the end of the first half, it was 14-7 Iowa with the lead.
Then in the 3rd, Wisconsin gets the score they need and they hold Iowa scoreless to end the 3rd at a 14-14 tie.
So now we enter the 4th quarter. Both teams score a TD.
With a little over a minute to go, Wisconsin finds themselves with the ball.
They march down the field and call a run play to get the ball in the middle of the field. Good thing, because as they lineup for the game winning 39 yard field goal, Iowa calls a time out to ice the kicker.
The kick is up, goes a little left, but stays in and is good with :05 left on the clock as they go up 24-14.
With :02 left, they squib kick it and Iowa's RB is tackled and the game comes to an end.
If you look at the stats, they had the ball twice as long as we did during this game, so we knew we had to make every possession count. It came down to the kicker and the last offensive play of the game.
Great game coach untouchable. Must respect to you.
