Paul Bunyan Trophy Remains in East Lansing

Spartans Top Rival Wolverines

In what turned out to be an offensive shootout, the Michigan State Spartans beat rival Michigan to retain the Paul Bunyan Trophy and remain unbeaten in conference play. MSU was led by an efficient Andrew Maxwell, who completed 16 of his 19 passes. The Spartans also added three TDs on the ground, and were able to force Michigan QB Devin Gardner into throwing three interceptions.
