VT got the ball 1st making a good drive and scoring on 4th down
Bama would get the ball and faced a 4th and inches but choose to punt and that cost them in the end as VT would score again eating clock and the tide couldn't rebound after throwing a pick to end the half.
Bama would start to make a epic comeback but the game would freeze with just under 2 min left in the game so the coaches would call it.

Hokies upset #3 Alabama under the lights
Blacksburg, VA (AP) Rivarly time! And no we are not playing for NDL Season Grade points as this rivalry goes much deeper than that. Tonight two coaches very familiar with each other faced off as Coach VTrunNgun took his Hokies into battle tonight with the defending NDL Champion & Coach of the Year Coach Daw. Over the years these two have crossed many times but all that would matter today is this battle. At stake the Crimson Tide came into Lane Stadium with an unblemished 8-0 record while coach Daw was riding a 22 game win streak dating back to last season.
These streaks were not the main point of focus at all as the only thing that matter was Coach Daw beat Coach VT last. When the Hokies traveled to the Swamp to take on Coach Daw, they were ran out of there in a hurry as the Gators dominated all 4 quarters. Well today, the Hokies promptly returned the favor as they were in the drivers seat all game, not trailing at any point. Digital Logan Thomas would be the main player of focus as he led the way with his feet similar to how Driskel ran all over VT last season. Thomas would punch in a season high 3 TDs on the ground while playing mistake free football.
With the win, the Hokies wrap up OOC play with a 3-1 record which was predicted by preseason pollsters. The remainder of the season will be all ACC opponents as Virginia Tech remains in the driver seat for the Coastal Division.
