LSU started out slow and sluggish on the road against an upstart Gamecock squad and paid the price early on. The strong defense of LSU had holes punched in it left and right and could not find a stop all day. Nussmeier and company found a rhythm in the 2nd half, but a few costly interceptions set them back as the South Carolina squad played mistake free football. The game came down to a final 2-pt conversion by the LSU RB that came up only inches short. LSU looks to right the ship after a bye week against Liberty in Death Valley.
