In a decisive clash, the Kansas Jayhawks triumphed over the West Virginia Mountaineers with a final score of 35-21. The Jayhawks’ balanced attack and strong defensive plays ensured their victory in this high-energy matchup.

Game Summary:

The Jayhawks controlled the game with a potent offensive display and solid defensive execution. Kansas quarterback Jalon Daniels was instrumental, completing 15 of 17 passes for 262 yards and two touchdowns, leading to an impressive 256.5 passer rating. Daniels also contributed on the ground, rushing for 51 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries.

Kansas' rushing attack was effective, with Devin Neal adding 38 yards and Luke Grimm contributing 15 yards. The Jayhawks’ rushing game collectively amassed 110 yards. In the receiving game, Devin Neal shone brightly with 92 yards on four receptions, while Luke Grimm added 62 yards. Jared Casey also made a notable impact with a 38-yard touchdown reception.

Despite their efforts, the Mountaineers’ offense could not keep pace with Kansas’ efficiency.

The Mountaineers struggled in the rushing game, amassing only 97 yards on 26 carries. Jahiem White led the charge with 76 yards but was unable to find the end zone.

Defensively, West Virginia’s Ben Cutter and TJ Crandall were notable with seven and six tackles, respectively. However, their defense could not contain the Jayhawks’ offensive output, allowing 425 total yards.
