Oklahoma played smart and did not beat themselves outlasting the Auburn Tigers 24-7. The Tigers made things interesting just before half but couldn't make the play to go ahead at half time. In the second half the Sooners scored on their first possession and then got a key turnover effectively ending this contest.

From the opening kickoff, the Sooners demonstrated their commitment to controlling the tempo of the game. Coach AK emphasized the importance of a mistake-free approach, and his players responded by minimizing turnovers and playing a disciplined game. The Sooners racked up a total of 442 yards of offense, a balanced attack that featured 178 rushing yards and 264 passing yards.
While the offense shined, it was the Sooners’ defense that truly stole the show. Known for their ability to disrupt opposing plays, they limited Auburn to 176 total yards of offense. The Tigers managed only 15 rushing yards—a testament to Oklahoma’s strong front line—and struggled to find rhythm in the passing game with 161 yards through the air.
